The 15th-century Bastide de Cabriès, formerly a herbal tea shop, has been converted into a charming, intimate hotel and is conveniently situated on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence. The pleasant hosts, Valérie and Xavier, will assure a warm welcome.
ROOMS
12 en-suite rooms, each personally modernised with style to include air conditioning, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi access. Superior rooms are more spacious. The rooms are found on the first floor of the hotel and are reached via a steep, narrow staircase (there is no lift).
RESTAURANT
Cuisine at the hotel is innovatively prepared using fresh, regional produce and herbs to create delectable dishes with an accent firmly on fine dining; the chef has quite rightly been recognised locally for his original and creative approach. A daily-changing menu without choice is included and continental breakfast is usually served on the delightful, shaded terrace at the front of the hotel.
IN THE AREA
The hotel is ideally situated for visiting this popular corner of Provence. Aix-en-Provence and Marseille are both nearby and can easily be reached either by car or public transport for day trips.
