A breakage deposit of 100€ is payable upon arrival. This will be returned in full if there have been no breakages and the property is left in good order. The owners may, at their discretion, deduct 50€ from the deposit if the property is not left in good order.

Chez Fillon is a 3-bedroomed chalet, sleeping 4 + 2 under 14 (+ baby), in a rural setting, 1km from the village of Vacheresse (Haute-Savoie), 7km NW of Abondance, 20km SE of Thonon-les-Bains and Lake Geneva (Michelin map: 523). Set on a gently sloping hillside above the valley of the Abondance, and surrounded by meadows, this is a detached wooden chalet, built in 1983. The pine-panelled interior is largely open plan, with a brand new kitchen and comfortable, traditional and rustic-style furnishings in generous quantities; rural artefacts add to its homely character. French windows open from the living area onto a long balcony with wonderful mountain views and on the south side is a large paved terrace (approx 9m x 3m50) giving onto open meadows (cut for hay in June) around the chalet, with views of the peaceful valley on all sides. The bathroom has been completely redone for 2009 and the bath now has a shower attachment as well as a separate shower cubicle. The nearest neighbour is a little holiday chalet 20m away which looks towards FIL.74 without detracting from its high degree of privacy; the setting is perfectly peaceful. The owners live near Thonon-les-Bains but will personally welcome all visitors. They have a relative who owns the hotel in the village and who can be contacted in case of emergency. A comfortable, homely chalet with lovely wide-ranging views and a quiet location well-situated for exploring some of the prettiest valleys of Haute-Savoie, the handsome old town of Annecy and its lovely lake, la Clusaz and Chamonix and the southern shores of Lake Geneva.

First floor open tread stairs (low beam at top) lead directly to:
