Price includes: your chosen property on a rental-only basis from 1700 hours on the Saturday of arrival to 1000 hours on the Saturday of departure.

A breakage deposit of 125€ is payable upon arrival. This will be returned on the morning of departure (less charges for items not included in the price), provided there have been no breakages and the property is left in good order. The owners may, at their discretion, make a minimum deduction of 50€ from the deposit if the property is not left in good order.
Electricity (electric radiator in each room) is not included and must be paid for on departure.
Household linen is available and chargeable. One set costs 20€ for two people and 5€ for each additional person. One hand towel, one bath towel and one flannel per person, plus two tea towels and two kitchen towels per booking will be provided. Extra sets are not available.
Gîte Les Amandiers pour Argeliers is a 3-bedroomed cottage, sleeping 5 + baby or 6, on the edge of the village of Argeliers (Aude), 20km NNW of Narbonne, 25km W of Béziers (Michelin map: 526/527). VFB is delighted to have featured this property since 1998. Saturday arrival.
This detached property, facing south, is within walking distance of the village shops in a tranquil residential neighbourhood (in a cul-de-sac). The impeccable interior, all newly fitted and furnished with smart modern items and much use of pine, is bright and airy, very practical and includes a neat, fitted kitchen, with quality equipment, and prettily decorated bedrooms. The whole adds up to excellent, easy-to-run holiday accommodation. Patio doors open on to the sun-drenched, paved terrace (2 steps down - 4m x 10m) with built-in barbecue and the attractive pool (12m x 6m - depth 1m - 1m70) beyond, small flowerbeds edge a lawned area and there are gravel spaces for children to play. Opposite the property are the owners’ disused garages and, beyond a stand of cypress, the village football ground (where children may play) and tennis courts. The owners and their two teenage children live in Narbonne, where Monsieur works for a bank; he will be responsible for the welcome of all their visitors and will come to clean the pool early in the mornings. Argeliers is surrounded by the Corbières Minervois vineyards which can be sampled at the local cave coopérative. Mediaeval Béziers (with its famous féria in August when young bulls are set free in the streets) and the spectacular walled city of Carcassonne are both within easy reach for day trips. The Route des Cathars, with its hill-perched castles and villages, offers beautiful journeys through history and architecture.
