Enjoying a spectacular setting in the village of San-Martino-di Lota, la Corniche stands at 360m altitude in the hills which run north from Bastia along the spine of the Cap Corse. Glorious panoramic views extend over thickly wooded valleys. With its excellent cuisine, pleasant ambience, quiet situation and attentive third-generation owner, the Corniche continues to be a very popular choice with VFB guests, year after year.
Built on several different levels, the hotel has 19 comfortable bedrooms on first and second floors (VFB rooms are the more spacious superior and confort rooms with sea views), a lounge/bar and locally-reputed restaurant where regional dishes feature strongly on the half-board menu (daily-changing, without choice). For a change, clients might like to sample a tasty pizza at the owner's son's restaurant in the village! The beautiful swimming pool is set discreetly on an elegantly balustraded terrace above a small garden, to the side of the hotel. The trump card, however, is the shady outdoor terrace, running the whole length of the hotel, overlooking the village and distant sea.
