A spacious Provençal villa, fully restored in 2009, this splendid detached property stands in delightful, extensive grounds, with lawns, rose beds, flowering shrubs, conifer and fruit trees. The accommodation, on two floors, has all the hallmarks of its caring owners, who live here out of season. It is generously and comfortably furnished to high standards, carefully decorated to give a homely ambience with family ornaments and ‘knick-knacks’. Beautifully kept, it is exceptionally well equipped, spacious and practical for seven. Outdoor facilities are equally inviting: a terrace runs the length of the house, part-covered at one end with a built-in barbecue and private swimming pool (10m x 4m, depth 1m60). The setting is delightful and relatively peaceful though trains on a nearby railway line, some 100m distant, will be heard. Roman sites at Avignon and Arles, and the mediaeval village of les Baux, are all within 40km, while eastwards lie the hilltop villages and lush wooded valleys of the Lubéron, offering superb views and good walks. A superior property, well-appointed and comfortable, and highly recommended especially for its fine facilities for outdoor living. The friendly owners, whose summer home is outside SAM.84’s electronic entrance gates (about 35m away beyond trees), extend a superlative welcome to all their visitors.
